By 2030, the problem of global warming will be keenly felt. Environmentalists around the world will search for ways to tackle the build-up of methane in the upper atmosphere, ultimately using microorganisms to process the gas under low pressure conditions. Colonies of bacteria will be delivered to the upper atmosphere by means of special stratospheric balloons to reduce the amount of methane.
