The Toilet of the future

Toilets are equipped with mini-laboratories, which produce chemical analysis of the faeces and, if found to deviate from the norm, they recommend the owner to see a doctor. But this is not the only innovation in sanitary ware : under the toilet rim we find sterilising UV lamps, providing 100% protection against harmful microorganisms.

David May One other comment, keep in mind 2030 is only 9 years away. It still takes a bit of time to develop and market new products. 9 Years would be pretty fast, even for today.

David May Agree with some qualifications. Example, the bathroom will have to be able to identify the user with certainty. The best way would be for near instant DNA analysis. We may be able to get to near instant DNA analysis by 2030.

Christopher Garrard In every toilet? I find that hard to believe. The technology will certainly exist, but it seems unlikely that it would be ubiquitous.
